A Special Christmas Gift from a Special Lady

December 12, 2006

After work on Friday, December 8, I went to my mail box to check the mail. Inside the box was a large envelope. I pulled it out—it was addressed to me. The return address was from my Aunt Phyllis. She is 80 years old. She lives in Maine. For the past few years she has sent me Christmas ornaments that she has hand made. Thinking this was what it was, I was eager to open the package. We had not been in touch for many years before because of the separation of our family. Later, after foster care, my life was so messed up with abusive relationships. I really didn’t know my aunt anymore; we lost touch with each other.

I brought the envelope in to the house, usually I let my dog Candy, bring in a piece of the mail but I was excited so I hurried inside. I carefully opened the envelope, using a small steak knife to cut the tape. I pulled out what looked like a piece of denim. I unfolded the material. Inside the material were several small gifts. One gift was a bell ornament that had my name on it. Another was a tea...

NEED YOUR HELP~JUST TELL ORGANIZATION

November 23, 2006

On my Thanksgiving Eve, instead of cooking a turkey and getting food ready for the big day, I was busy doing something else important. I have been trying to help with a new organization that I feel will really help sexually abused children. We are talking about children, most under the age of eleven. I posted a bulletin for all my friends to read last evening and sent this bulletin to my family as well.

I have had the great honor to be a part of the organization recently, called JUST TELL ORGANIZATION. It is an organization to help sexually abused children. The purpose of the organization is to let children know that it is okay to speak out and JUST TELL. To let them know that they are not alone. www.justtell.org  If you can't afford a donation right now you could help with letter writing to get the word out to others. I am asking all my friends to put a banner on their page or websites to help send out a message to all to help with this organization, to help sexually abused children.

You can find the code for the banner at http://www.myspace.com/vmusic333  Vivian and...

Busy, Busy, Busy

November 15, 2006

I have not been able to post anything new on here for the past couple of days. I have been very busy. Not only promoting have I been promoting my book but meeting new friends. I met a really nice woman and we became friends on myspace. She promotes Just Tell, a sight to Help Sexually Abused Children. www.justtell.org She asked me to write up something for the children to read about abuse. She will post it on her page in about a month. Of course I did. I hope my story will help not only children but adults that are in abusive relationships. My new friend also purchased a copy of my book, Living Nightmares of Abuse. Please help support them and visit their sites.

My dog, Candy, seen better days

November 11, 2006

I had to take my dog to the vet today for her annual checkup. Time for boosters and more medicine for her ears, she has a chronic ear problem. I traded in my old car for a new one a few weeks back. Candy was used to the old car and loved to ride in it. She could get behind me and stick her head out the window. Now, with this new sedan, she can't do that. She has her own window in the back but refuses to look out. She was really upset on the way to the veterinarian; she barked and whined all the way to the vet.

They took blood to do testing and that upset her. It never had before. The vet checked her heart and felt for lumps, she was not happy with that. She gave her boosters and a shot of cortisone for allergies, she was okay with that. But when they started messing with her ears she had had enough. She wanted out of there and with a loud bark; everyone in the building knew she was upset.

On the ride back home, she was quiet. She was ready to get home. She’s... [More]

In Loving Memory

November 10, 2006

Today was another beautiful day. I thought again of the tulip bulbs that I planted from my sister, Angie. I also thought about her. I thought about the poem that she wrote, In Memory, for our brother that past in May of 2003. Remembering the time that we went out on my brother's boat to put Bobby's ashes to rest. I thought about her visit here two years ago.

Today I want to share with you that poem. My sister, Angela LeMoine.

In Loving Memory of FLOYD ROBERT FARLEY

April 15, 1950-May 13, 2003

For Bobby

Jesus saw you getting weary

Knew the struggle deep within

He longed to quiet, still the storm

And let your peace begin

He knew the pain and heartache

Your life you did endure

The emptiness, the loneliness

Of which there was no cure

We were young when heartbreak

found us

Ripped apart our family

For you, the pain was so profound

The why’s? You could not see

When others talked against you

Tried to make me feel ashamed

My heart turned hard in your defense

No one besmirch your name

You struggled so throughout your life

That Jesus saw and cried

“My son! Reach...

Felt like spring. A good day to write.

November 9, 2006

This morning as I was walking to my car to go to work, it felt, smelt and sounded like an early spring day. It made me think of the tulips blooming. My sister sent me some beautiful purple colored tulips for my birthday last month. They are in the ground and waiting to come alive in the early spring.

I wrote several paragraphs on my new book today at lunch. I didn’t want to stop when lunch was over—I was really into writing. Oh, my book is a fiction fantasy. It’s about little people. Are you all in for a surprise when the book is finished. It is so neat.

Giving Thanks

November 8, 2006

Today was a cloudy cool day, typical for November. Coming up in a couple of weeks is the day we give thanks, Thanksgiving. I can say that I am very thankful for having a warm place to sleep at night—food in my belly—healthy.

I am especially thankful that I am not in an abusive relationship but have a wonderful husband whom is good to me. I am so very thankful that he survived his cancer this past year and hopefully we will see this Thanksgiving along with many more to come.

Wishing everyone good health and happiness for the up coming holidays.
