LIVING NIGHTMARES
of
ABUSE

Biography

Phyllis Benton was born in 1952 in a small fishing harbor in Maine. She lived with her family of eight children until the age of twelve. She then lived with several foster families. Leaving Maine when she was twenty-one she traveled and lived in much of the United States. After several abusive relationships, she finally met her angel, David.

Phyllis left school at an early age but returned to get her high school diploma in 2002. She then went on to attend Mitchell Community College.

While in college she starting writing her book, LIVING NIGHTMARES of ABUSE. In 2004, she graduated with an Office System Technology certificate and completed her book.

Phyllis presently works a full time job in North Carolina and is writing her second book, a fiction fantasy. She enjoys caring for her wonderful husband, David, her two dogs, and her fruit trees.

As a teen I liked writing short stories, drawing and painting. When I was sixteen I was offered a scholarship to go to art school. I was thrilled at the chance to go to college. I gave up that chance because my life was so unsteady. I now write and enjoy some of the things that I missed out on in my early life. It is never to late to pick up the pieces and start again.

My inspiration-My angel.

My wonderful husband has been my greatest inspiration. He has been patient, kind, and helpful to me while I was writing Living Nightmares of Abuse. David is still my inspiration as I continue  to write and to do the things he knows I can.

Thank you, David.
